AVM Responds to President Biden’s Dishonest Remarks about Vaping in the State of the Union Speech

At a time when the Biden administration is actively crushing the most effective smoking-cessation method ever devised, nicotine vaping, the president’s State of the Union speech inexplicably pretends to be helping Americans quit cigarettes.

The shameful reality is that President Biden’s FDA has now outlawed millions of vaping products, 99.99 percent of the market, bankrupted small vaping businesses nationwide, spent many millions on deceitful ads to vilify and stigmatize vaping, ignored the consensus input from leading public health specialists on tobacco science, and left countless millions of Americans with no option but to return to deadly cigarettes. At the very same time, the FDA has granted market approval to even more combustible cigarette products.

I’m sorry, Mr. President, but, no, that is not what you call “working to put control back in the hands of Americans.” You are in fact stripping away their fundamental right to switch to a vastly safer alternative and take charge of their own health destiny. There are millions of Americans that have successfully quit smoking through nicotine vaping — and every one of them is smart enough to know pure malarkey when they hear it.
